Frugal organizing ideas
It can be so discouraging going into a store with the intention of buying some amazing organizing products but then you look at the price and think, “there’s no way I can afford that!” I see how some people have organized their home and I wish (that if money was no object) I could finally organize my home.
I was tired of using that excuse and started coming up with creative ways to frugally organize my home that didn’t break my budget. I am so excited to share them with you today.
I’ve also put together a checklist of items you can use to frugally organize your home. The checklist is free and you can download it by clicking the button below.
This one is probably a given, right? Everything’s a dollar at the dollar store so of course, this will help you stay on budget.
The amazing thing is, there are some really great things you can use from the dollar store to frugally organize your home.
If you’re even just a little bit creative, the sky’s the limit!
Cupboard liners, plastic containers, drawer dividers, and more is what you’ll find at the dollar store!
Use what you already have
Just because you’re starting an organizing project does not mean you have to buy all new stuff!
If your home is a little cluttered, chances are you’ll be able to find a thing or two to help with frugally organizing your home. It’s about being creative, patient, and going through your stuff.
One of the best ways to organize your home frugally is to purge anything you don’t need or use. When you have less stuff in your home then you have less stuff to organize. Go through a room and remove broken items.
Once you’ve gotten rid of the broken items then go through the items that you just don’t use. There’s no reason to hold onto items that you aren’t using or won’t use.
Only organize a little at a time
You don’t want to commit to organizing your entire house. This is when you’ll overspend because you’ll think you’ll need something and then, later on, you might find you don’t really need it.
Think small when you’re starting your organizing projects. For example, maybe you want to organize a book shelf or maybe under the sink.
Think small for big rewards!
