Having a morning routine is important to stay organized. Today I’m sharing my fall morning routine with you. I’ve included a video walking you through my morning and I’ve also written it out for you in this blog post.
The mornings move so fast in the fall it seems. Making sure that I’ve got enough time to exercise, get the family ready, and the home ready is tricky.
Here are some other projects you might enjoy:
My fall morning routine
I normally wake up an hour and a half before my family does. In this time I enjoy a cup of tea, write out my to do list, water the plants and do a few other things around the house.
I do have to mention that every morning is a little bit different. I break up my weekly deep cleaning routine so there are some things I do on certain days.
Since it’s dark until about 7:30 I tend to wait on any outdoor activities (except exercising) until the sun shows itself.
What I include in my routine
While the family is still asleep I do some quiet tasks, enjoy a cup of tea, and plan out my day. This is my favorite time of the day, it’s quiet and relaxed.
- Wake up enjoy a cup of tea
- Check email respond to quick emails
- Set up my to-do list
- Water plants
- Unload dishwasher
- Get dressed for a run
I’m a girl that likes to get my exercise out the way. Exercise is included in my morning routine and in the fall it’s dark which sucks. I’ve taken breaks from running or walking and it affects me in a bad way so I make sure to get out for 35 minutes to an hour each morning. I also make sure my daughter is up and getting ready for school.
- Wake up house
After my run, it’s really time to get the house in order. I do some laundry, make the bed, clean the kitchen before and after breakfast, and get a little work done.
- Start a load of laundry
- Make the bed
- Do a little work
- Make breakfast
- Clean kitchen
If you’d like to map out your own fall morning routine I have a free printable you can download to help you with that.
