An Abrasive Cleaner
Soap scum can be so hard to deal with. Your problems may be even worse if you have hard water. Thankfully, you don’t have to reach for a chemical-based bathroom cleaner. All you need to do is make a paste using baking soda and vinegar. Put the paste over the most difficult areas and scrub the area. Allow to set and then rinse. You’ll be amazed at how much better things look.
Okay, maybe you don’t want to clean while you shower, but you could. Get a refillable dish brush and fill with half white vinegar and half dish soap. Wet your shower walls and tub and then scrub. The vinegar and dish soap work together to cut through even the worst built up grime. If you give the shower a quick once over each time you get in, you’ll keep your shower nice and clean.
If you want something you can use to clean the outside of your toilet, your mirror, sink, etc. this all-purpose cleaner will do the trick. You need 1 part rubbing alcohol, two parts white vinegar, and 4 parts distilled water. You can also add your favorite essential oils. Mix together in a spray bottle and you’re ready to start cleaning.
Something for the Toilet
You can even make a bathroom cleaner for your toilet. Spray the inside of your bowl with the all-purpose cleaner listed above and allow to set for 10 minutes. Sprinkle baking soda on the water and then scrub. The vinegar and rubbing alcohol help kill bacteria while the baking soda is a bit abrasive and helps clean the toilet. If you want to be even more thorough in killing bacteria, add tea tree oil to your all-purpose cleaner.
