5 Simple Ways to Keep Your Bedroom Fresh Each Day
These tips are all super easy to implement and start right away.
Make Your Bed Each Day
When you wake up each morning, make the bed. Not only does this leave your bedroom looking nice, but it’s a great way to start your day. You’ve started your day off on a productive note.
Once the bed is made, spray some all-natural or homemade fabric freshener on the bed so that your bed smells good throughout the day and when you lay down at night. This will easily keep your bedroom fresh.
Put Away Clutter
Don’t turn the light off with a nightstand covered in books, tissues, and an empty water bottle. Keep a small trash can near your bed so that you can keep things nice and tidy. When you wake up, you won’t feel overwhelmed. You’ll keep your bedroom fresh and you’ll be ready to start the day.
Dust and Vacuum
Go through and dust and vacuum your bedroom weekly. Not only will this prevent dust buildup, but it will also leave your room smelling fresh. If you have a pet that sleeps in the room, sprinkle baking soda on the carpet and pet bed and allow it to set 10 to 15 minutes before vacuuming. This will remove odors.
Change Bedding Weekly
Keep your bedroom fresh by getting in the habit of changing your bedding weekly. Not only can you sweat during the night, but you’re also shedding skin cells. When you think about it, it’s pretty gross. Think about how much sweat can build up in just one week. Take the time each weekend to change your bedding.
Keep Your Bedroom Fresh
Last, but not least, open the windows for 10 to 15 minutes each day to let fresh air into your home. You don’t want to leave the windows open for long periods as this can let in pollen, mold spores, and other particles that lead to dust.
Importance of a fresh clean and clear bedroom
Your bedroom is your oasis. It’s a place that you unwind at the end of the day and the space that you start each and every day in as well.
In order to have a clear mental picture of how your day is going to go, it’s important to have a clean and clear space to wake up in as well.
You’ll be amazed at the difference that you’ll feel when you start you day off and end your day in a clean and clear space.
Take the time to make your bedroom into a place you want to end your day in. It will take a bit of work in the beginning, but once you turn these steps into habits, you’ll find it’s easy to keep your bedroom fresh each day.
I so agree with making my bed every morning and if I don’t do it my husband will. I also like to burn a scented candle in the room, for a few hours to eliminate those pet smells, since often we have small dog and cat on the bed and a larger dog next to the bed! Fresh flowers are a must when available and if not good faux ones will do. A pretty bedroom starts your day off right and at night is a restful sanctuary
