Step 1: Start From Scratch
You would see that starting your kitchen time with a clean kitchen is going to make your life simpler. Starting with a clean kitchen will make your life easier. You may feel that cleaning the kitchen as you work inside it is also an option. However, is it easy to start off in a messy kitchen?
In a majority of cases, you would get disgruntled with the mess when you enter the kitchen and most likely order pizza. So, if you start off by cleaning the kitchen you can consider these things:
If you find the dishwasher to be vacant, then things will be easy for you. You can go ahead and clean a dish then put it in there. With this done, most of your hard work is complete.
Next comes – the counters.
When the counters are clear then you will easily have enough space to make your food. By doing so you will not have to struggle for counter space.
Step 2: Cooking & Cleaning at the Same Time
Now let’s take it a little further. For this step, you need to complete step one and initiate the next. You have to broaden the idea of cleaning from putting dishes in the dishwasher to putting things at their right places. This will save you a lot of time to clean up. You can put the spices at their designated places after you’re done and then toss away the bags in the bin and others.
Cleaning up continuously while cooking can make your counters stay clean. In fact, with this step, your final cleaning will be so easy.
Step 3: Garbage Bowl Saves the Day
You can keep a garbage bowl handy for specific wastes. For instance, while cooking you will have a lot of yard waste. In fact, every time you are cooking, you would require this garbage bowl. You will have wastes of the raw food that you’re using to cook, for example, carrot tops, garlic and onion waste and more. You can put these wastes in the bowl and then clean the bowl when you’re done.
Step 4: Separate Cooking Units
Always use separate cooking stations as you would like to avoid cross-contamination. For instance, if you are a part of a family where there are members with variant allergies – this step is necessary. Cross-contamination must be avoided at all times.
If you set up separate cooking stations can benefit you to reduce cross-contamination. With this, you can keep everyone healthy.
For example, you can keep the general raw foods away from raw meat and categorize allergens like nuts and gluten.
Step 5: Use Substances More Than Once
Reusing one item more than once can actually help you. For example, if you have used a bowl for something, then make sure you can reuse it. You can refrain from using new items and keep them clean, by reusing items.
With this method, you will be able to keep the dishwasher with lesser dishes inside them. Thus, this will give you fewer things to clean up.
Step 6: Food Safe Wipes Are Significant
While cooking or preparing to cook something, you must always remember that safety is a must. This safety is in terms of keeping the kitchen clean to ward off germs and bacteria. Food safe wipes will be quite handy.
Supposed, you have spilled something. In that case, you would need food-safe wipes to clean that up. Using bare hands is not safe. It will take down the presence of bacteria on the counter.
In conclusion, it must be stated that your job is to keep the kitchen clean in every aspect. Moreover, while cleaning you have to do it intelligently in order to save time and effort.
