Making your own DIY face wipes isn’t hard, you just need a few simple home ingredients to make it happen!
How to make DIY face wipes
Sometimes you want to freshen up your face, but don’t feel like giving it a thorough washing. That’s not a bad thing. In fact, washing your face too often can cause your skin to dry out. (and nobody wants to deal with that!) Thankfully, face cleansing wipes allow you to freshen up quickly and without any damage. But, whoa! The price for face cleansing wipes can be outrageous. Sure, you can test your luck and buy a product made overseas for a dollar, but it may be dried out, tiny, thin as toilet paper, or cause your skin to breakout. Forget that.
Instead, why not make your own homemade face cleansing wipes? You’ll save money and make something that is safe for your skin.
Reasons to make DIY face wipes

Supplies you need to make DIY face wipes
Choose Your Cloth
You have options here. You can cut a roll of paper towels in half to slide down into an airtight container. You can also cut up old tee shirts or use reusable cotton rounds. It just depends on whether or not you want to wash these after using or toss them. If using paper towels, you’ll want to purchase a thick brand that will hold up.

Homemade face wipe recipe
You’ll need 4 cups of warm water, 1 – 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, and 1 to 2 squirts of your favorite face wash or baby soap. You can also add essential oils. If you’re making a large batch, make sure to add tea tree oil to prevent the growth of mold. You can add essential oils based solely on scent or choose one that has benefits that will improve the health of your skin.
Make and Store
Mix the ingredients until the coconut oil has dissolved and pour over the cloths that you have in an airtight container. Seal the container and store until needed. If you don’t plan to use these often, make a small batch so they don’t go to waste before you have a chance to use them. Wipes can dry out and, if you don’t use tea tree oil, they may mold.

Being able to quickly grab a wipe and cleanse your face before bed is so nice. Knowing that you didn’t pay a small fortune for the wipes and know what’s in them is even better. Of course, a nice fragrance added to wipes doesn’t hurt. Using lavender face cleansing wipes can even make it easier to fall asleep.
