Sometimes your mornings are characterized by a sleepy and confused state and what you need is an exercise for your mind. The best practice you can take up in the morning is a meditation session. Keeping your religious beliefs in mind or even if you do not have any, you can simply close your eyes and take yourself to space wherein the mind clears itself of fog and clutter. Give yourself a minimum of 20 minutes for your morning meditation and once it is a part of your routine, you will see the benefits for yourself.
After you are done with meditation, you can take time out for a workout that gets your body into action mode. Morning workouts are very beneficial when you wish to dispel lethargy and laziness that is commonplace after you get up from sleep. You can also take up journaling in the morning.
