Here are some other ways to help you around the house:
Benefits of having a morning routine
Some of the benefits of having a morning routine are:
- Increased productivity
- Reducing stress levels
- Gives you focus throughout the day
Morning Routine Ideas
If you are not a morning person then creating a morning routine might be a bit more difficult than someone who is ready to ‘hit the pavement’ the moment they wake up.
Here are a few morning routine ideas:
- Setting your daily to-do list
- Do a little bit of exercising
- Read a chapter or two of a book
- Picking up (clean up)
I have found that adding too much too soon to your morning routine can lead to burn out. It might seem funny or counter productive to become burned out by a morning routine.
If you’re not used to that much structure at once you might rebel against it. I like to start small and add a bit at a time.
Implementing your new routine
You can start your new routine small with setting a daily to-do list, picking up (or doing a little clean up), and read a chapter of a book or an article of a magazine.
Just blocking out 30 minutes for your morning routine will improve your day. Setting a to-do list will also map out your day really setting you up for a productive day.
Mapping out your morning routine
I’ve put together a morning routine checklist and routine page for you to fill out and create your own morning routine. On the first page, you’ll find some morning routine ideas you can add.
On page 2 you’ll have a blank routine page for you to fill out and create your own morning routine. I really hope you find this helpful!
