Awesome Time Saving Tips
These tips will help you have more structure and more time in your daily life.
Set up a morning routine
Making the most out of your mornings will save loads of time. Start your morning off by doing a few chores like starting a load of laundry, unloading the dishwasher, or even checking email. Check out my morning routine, that keeps me on schedule.
When you get a good productive start to your day you’re able to keep the momentum going through the entire day.
Set up an evening routine
Just like a morning routine and evening routine can save you tons of time. When I created an evening routine my main goal was to get myself moving a little bit and being less of a couch potato.
What I didn’t know was I was able to triple the number of things I did each evening just by creating a plan, sticking to it, and following through.

Create a monthly plan
By planning out your entire month gives you an idea of what needs to be done when. If you’re new to planning or this is something that you’ve been wanting to do my advice to you is just start.
Grab a monthly calendar and start jotting down sports practices, days off of school, doctor appointments, and other commitments you might have for the month.
Create weekly intentions
Creating a list of 5 or 6 things that you “intend to do” will help you stay focused and help you get these done. I like to add 5 “like to do” items on my list.
If my week becomes way too over scheduled then there’s no harm. I’m not letting myself down. However, I’ve found that when I do this I’m more likely able to find the time to do them.
Make a daily to-do list
I don’t know where I’d be without my to-do list. I have written tons of blog posts about them.
Having a list of tasks that need to be done that is categorized really helps you stay organized.
Weekly meal planning day
By scheduling as weekly meal planning day you are committing to yourself and your family that you’re going to get this done.
The day before I head to the grocery store I have my meal planning day scheduled.
Meal plan
Speaking of meal planning… Yes, you should meal plan each week. This is going to save you hours!
When you have a meal plan scheduled for the week you are able to know what you are cooking on any specific day. You won’t have to worry about what’s for dinner or if you have the ingredients to make dinner.
Meal prep
Cutting veggies and getting meat marinated saves a ton of time. Once a week I like to get a few things prepped for dinners each day.
I’m in the kitchen for about 45 minutes but when it comes to that day I’ve saved myself time chopping and cleaning.
Another reason for doing this is to help you stick to your meal plan. If you have the food ready to go, there’s really no excuse to not cook at home.
Speed cleaning
I do a daily speed clean of my home and by doing this it’s saved me loads of time doing the daily cleaning.
When you are able to keep up with the cleaning you are able to spend less time with your chores.
Try batching
I like to group like items together. This helps me stay organized and save time. Things like meal planning and cleaning out the fridge go together because you’re having to take a look at what you need in the fridge.
There are tons of chores that you can group together to help you save time with the household chores.
Family cleaning day
Will this not only save you time but it will teach your kids how to clean up after themselves.
Set aside about an hour a week for the family to clean the house. Assign age-appropriate chores and make it a regular thing.
Errand day
Scheduling a day that is devoted to errands is a perfect way to save time. Instead of running one place one day and then a couple places the next day you can group them all together and get it done at once.
Simplify
We overcomplicate so many things. By trying to simplify what needs to be done you’ll be less stressed and it will save you time.
Create a minimal daily cleaning schedule, use leftovers, and ask for help from others will help you simply and save you time.
Automate as much as you can
We live in an automated world why not use that to our advantage. Having your meal plan, shopping list, and other daily chores automated will save you time real quick.
