How to Use a Weekly Planner Printable
For years, I have spent money buying fancy planners. They end up collecting dust because they are just too big and in the way. Making a weekly planner printable was something I knew I wanted to do. Not just helping myself, but my readers stay on track week to week. Without the bulk of a big calendar or planner. Make sure to grab this free printable weekly planner below. Then get started using our tips to get in control of your day to day schedule.
Print or laminate your weekly planner printable
One of the things I love about a printable like this is that I can print a new one each day, or, I can use a good laminator and dry erase markers to reuse this over and over. Both options are very convenient and versatile. If you choose to laminate your printable, I recommend the Eco Fine Point Dry Erase Markers. They work wonderfully and come in multiple colors. It makes it easy to coordinate tasks by color if you prefer.
If you choose to print weekly or daily, then a sleeve to slip it into or a clipboard to clip it to is a great tool to keep your weekly planner printable handy for use throughout the day. I use a filing system to get rid of paper clutter, but don’t mind having these printables on hand for day to day use.
Fill in your printable weekly planner with basic needs
The week at a glance page is intended to be used for basic things like your evening meal idea, doctor appointment reminders, or a basic note to go grocery shopping. On each daily planner page, you can fill in more details about times, places, and even a list of chores or work goals to accomplish each day.
Things to include on your weekly planner printable:
- Daily meal plan
- Doctors appointments
- Extracurricular activities for kids
- Basic work needs
- Phone calls to be made
- Bills to pay
Things to include in your daily planner:
- Chores to complete that day
- Specific work tasks to complete
- Times of events, appointments, and activities
- Phone numbers and details for correspondence
- Fitness accomplishments
- Grocery shopping list or reminders
Track your health and fitness goals on the daily planner
While this is not a fitness planner, it is a great choice to use for tracking basics from day to day. There is a space on the side with eight water bottles to cross off or circle as you drink water throughout the day. You can also note if you did cardio or weight training as well as log your weight each day. This is really about holding yourself accountable throughout the week and is an excellent visual reminder.
Use it for menu planning
One of my favorite things to do with the weekly planner printable is to pencil in our menu for the week. This helps me know what to pull from the freezer and keeps me on track. I can glance each day and see just what to plan for by pulling meals out of the freezer, meat out of the freezer or just checking the pantry for ingredients.
